Kassian decided it had been a decent time to following through with his plans to simply step into the new college scene, being rather a extroverted person he had never found it difficult to include himself. Especially if they put him closer to his ambitions, standing there freshly out of his mothers car. Kassian's head turns to greet his mother with a warm smile, while hers was more filled with anxiousness. Extending his arm where his hand rests on her shoulder, he speaks softly to calm her nerves. "don't worry mom.." he huffs softly and his olive eyes turn toward the campus before his gravely voice slips out, "I got this handled, i'll be just fine." She returns a shaken nod, where she wraps her delicate fingers around her son's wrist. His hand follows suit and he pulls her hand to cheek, giving it a nice snug before he gently takes it away. Further more, he says goodbye to his mother and wonders toward the main hall, watching as many students seek there way through. Kassian's eyes trail among the different people, all rather different, avoiding eye contact he makes his way toward the dorms, to seek one that he had been assigned. He finally finds his room and he pushes the door open to find it rather empty, his roommate possibly hadn't shown up yet or he didn't have one. Kassian placed his bags on the right twin sized bed, he didn't take anything out as he would rather go look around the university he will be attending. It had taken him rather a couple minutes to push himself out of the door and to view whatever had been coming his way. He had worn a grey undershirt, a blue button up that was open and a brown run down leather jacket to pull it all off, as well as jeans and brown doc martens. Women's eyes will peel to him but his vision remained on the main hall, he walked around and even took a gander outside to find the lecture halls. Everything was large, the brick building and the white stone outline, it was appealing to the eye. The cool breeze of the beginning of fall had kept his outfit more on the understandable side, he had never been a summer person and it being cool outside had kept his enthusiastic nature at it's peek. Kassian than sees a bench among the walk way that rested in front of the entrance but at a distance where he could take it all in. He huffs and rests back, admiring where his intelligence brought him.

Raising her hand and gently moving it side to side, Katerina waved to the light blue car, filled with memories and full of the people that she loves the most. The image of her mother shedding a tear had made her feel an emotion that she hasn't felt in a long time. Pain. She let out a breath that she didn't know she was holding as she turned around to see the stone, cold buildings in which she would have to make new memories in. She looks at the new faces of the excited and careless students who are wondering the grounds. She makes her way through the crowded areas to the residents hall with her head down, watching where she stepping carefully. Making it to the grand wooden doors, she pushes the weight with the remains strength she has left. Struggling to carry her bags through the crowded halls, Katerina embraced the new scenery that she would be enduring for the next four years to come. The anxiety of starting over, with no sense of the area that she will now have to call home and the feeling of being just a number ,was itching at her as she began tugging at the hem of her favorite sweater, that she had grown attached to. The smell of home was still present on the clothing making her feel comfort in her new surrounding. Standing in front of her dorm, she quickly unlocked the door and made her way to the left side of the room, placing her bags down on the bed. She sat down on the cold mattress, thinking of how this year could go. She knew if she sat there long enough, the voices in her head would convince her that this was indeed the wrong decision. Before the voices became too loud, she gathered herself, stepping out of her consuming thoughts and braced herself to broaden who she is. "This is what you wanted, Rina", she encourages herself as she takes her final steps back towards the door, closing the space between while reaching for the knob. Opening the door, she has finally come to terms that she was ready for the life that she had been sheltered from for so long.

Taking a deep breath and pressing the palms of his hands against the bench, Kassian forced himself to walk back inside. As the main doors open and close behind him, giving a slight nod as a thank you gesture toward those who were wondering out of the building. A sense of calm rushed over him as he head back toward the floor his dorm was on. He had seen his dorm in his view, students pilled pass him as he lingered around them and nudged into a girl exiting her room. Kassian lets his arms fall to his side as he smiles embarrassed, "fuck..sorry.." a soft chuckle escapes his mouth as he takes in the details of her face. Scanning over the blemishes and flaws that would soon exit his mind. As his olive eyes linger up to her own and he speaks once more in a calm voice. "i apologize, i hadn't realized how many people were on this floor." He chuckled once more, but to empty out the embarrassment, he had put out his hand to greet her, or to make things less awkward to stop being strangers. "I'm Kassian," a soft smile, he hadn't pictured meeting anymore on the first day, especially a women but this was mostly his fault for bumping into her. But he told himself to be positive under his breath as he had continued to watch her and wait for a response or simply a gesture.

Before talking herself out of it, she walks out of the door. She puts a smile on her face think about the small progress she has already made. Her small smile fades from her face as she turns and is slightly bumped by another person. Craning her neck to look up at the tall stranger, she sees the embarrassment in his eyes and a soft smile forms on her face. His velvety voice finally speaks "fuck..sorry". A soft chuckle escapes his lips and she stands there quiet, all politeness leaving her. His eyes finally wonder to find hers before he speaks again about not knowing how many people were on this floor. She slightly chuckles to herself, only to have though the same moments ago. "I'm Kassian", he states, pulling her from her train of thought. She meets his olive eyes again, and mirrors the soft smile that is showing on his. "Katerina", she says softly, though in the crowded hallway, she wasn't sure if he heard her. ",and it's okay..". She says with a reassuring smile, hopefully letting him know that it wasn't entirely his fault. "Are you a freshman as well?" she asks, growing confidence while looking into the comfort that his olive eyes hold.
